Walking Tour & Spooky Social Hour
Join us for a spoooooky historic walking tour of downtown Lewisberry Borough. Our very own Dominish Miller, local historian, will be showing us the local haunts. Be sure to bring a flashlight or lantern and good walking shoes!

Join us after for a Spooky Story Social Hour with snacks and hot apple cider in the library from 7:30-8:30.
This event is free to attend, but there is a small catch!
The Annie E Sterline Library needs your help! They’re graciously letting us use their facilities for this event, we would love to be able to offer them a “Thank You” in the form of a donation.
We will have a donation jar at the event, there is absolutely no pressure to donate $1, $5, $10 etc. If you are able to, wonderful!
The biggest help for them would be to spread the word about them, they need more volunteers and more funding to be able to keep serving the Lewisberry Community!
The Borough Blend @ The Conewago Canal Dedication Event
Come join us in learning and celebrating the official dedication of the Conewago Canal State Historical Marker! Our friends over at NEYCHIP (North Eastern York County History in Preservation) have worked hard doing research, outreach and organizing to get a State Historical Marker from the PA Historical & Museum Commission for one of the oldest canals in PA’s history, right here in York Haven!
Drop by The Borough Blend booth and say hello, we will have information on our upcoming events, how to get involved, and our big plans for the future.
Big plans that we want YOUR input on! We will have idea boards up and would love to know the things that you like, or don’t like!

Bucket Brigade (Community Clean Up)
Take a walk with us tomorrow and help us clean up some storm inlets and litter!
You know your block and neighborhood better than anyone else! Let us know if you spot a storm inlet that needs cleaned off or maybe a section of road that has been collecting some litter or debris!
Once we get some leads we can map out a route and a meeting spot!
If you want to join us, make sure to bring some gloves, a bucket or bag (for litter!) and a shovel if you have one! (Any shovel, even a small garden one will work!)
If you can’t make it out but still want to get involved, you can do this independently too! We will have more of these events in the future and we hope to see you there!
Remember to be safe and aware of your surroundings while walking and clearing debris near roads. Hunched down over a storm drain can make you hard to spot for cars, be mindful of traffic and stay in the sidewalk when you can!
Mosquito Bucket Workshop @ Hee Haw Hollow's Barn Sale & Market
We are really excited to share our FIRST EVENT!
Come out on August 1st to Hee Haw Hollow to say hi and make your own Mosquito Bucket to take home. We will have items you can use to decorate a bucket and instruction sheets to assemble when you get home, complete with a pesticide free mosquito dunk!

If you’re asking, what the heck is a mosquito bucket? Keep reading!
With mosquitoes becoming an ever growing problem in our area due to prime breeding conditions and the rise of mosquito related illnesses - many people are turning to fogging and using pesticides to control the problem.
Unfortunately pesticides don’t discriminate between friend and foe - putting many beneficial bugs at risk, like bees and lightning bugs!
Mosquito Buckets (mosquito buckets of doom, bee friendly mosquito buckets etc.) use mosquito dunk tablets that are made from a a natural bacteria called BTI that specifically target and kill mosquito larvae - preventing them from developing into adult mosquitoes.
The cool thing about BTI is that it leaves the good critters alone! The more we can encourage these alternative methods, the more pollinators and beneficial-bugs we keep to help our neighborhood eco systems thrive!
Buckets just need some yard litter, water and a reminder to stick a new dunk in every 30 days. Place in your yard in a hot-mosquito-real estate location and let it work from April-October.
